Stafforce Recruitment are working with a successful family owned business, which provide flooring solutions via stores and online sales.

The role of the shift warehouse manager is to manage all aspects of end to end supply, from product receipt to despatch from the warehouse on a day 1 for day 1 basis. Ensuring that the orders within the system are fulfilled within the time base required to satisfy the customer and transporting requirements during shift attended hours at an operational level

Key Responsibilities and duties

• Managing upto 40 members of staff
• Working within the restrictions of the financial budget without compromise to safety, quality or delivery
• All H&S activities within areas of ownership, during shift, ensuring a safety first ethos, ensuring risk mitigation during shift, damage limitation and incident investigation, ensuring all safety incidents are investigated within an acceptable timeframe and all relevant documentation completed in full.
• Delivery & ownership of site KPI's these including but not conclusive cuts per hour, driver measures and truck utilisation/shock reporting, vehicle loading OTIF
• All aspects of people management, first line investigations, performance management discussions/investigations, return to works team mentoring and development 1-2-1 deliveries
• Stock and systems management, interrogation
• Stake holder in all warehouse projects on site providing constructive views of any proposed changes required
• Decision maker and correct usage of escalation chain when all avenues exhausted, this must be in the event of risk to business, service, employee or property

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within warehouse management ideally with production management exposure
• IOSH accredited desirable and able to demonstrate knowledge of risk spotting/ assessments etc
• Significant knowledge of material handling equipment

Depending on the business needs, this role maybe a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:30 am & 14:00 – 22:30 pm
