Warehouse Operations and Improvements Manager

Are you a Warehouse, Logistics and Supply chain specialist?
Do you have experience at implementing improvements within a 3rd Party Logistics business or similar?
We are now looking for a Warehouse and Logistics professional who can optimise and develop the warehouse functions across the logistics unit.
If you have previous experience at delivering solutions that will optimise efficiency in a warehouse/logistics and supply chain environment then please read on!
The basics:
Warehouse and Logistics Operations and Improvements Manager
Location: Tamworth
Contract length - 12 months
Pay Rates: 450-500 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5hr week
Area: 3PL
Customer: Automotive manufacturing and supply chain
Structure: Reporting to the Projects Director and supporting our automotive client and supply chain.
Overview:
Supporting our major automotive customer you will be tasked to project manage and implement business improvements working closely with the Projects Director in our first class warehouse and distribution centre.
Brief list of duties:
Manage and co-ordinate projects and initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency.
Project manage the implementation of new business wins and renewals.
Provide and support the implementation of business improvement solutions to existing customer operations and if required other business units internal or external as directed by the Projects and solutions director.
Prepare project plans and other project documentation and manage all project resources to deliver projects within agreed timescales and to agreed budgets.
Undertake project work, including post implementation support as necessary to ensure that project objectives are successfully achieved.
Provide regular project updates to Projects Director
Prepare and deliver management presentations to internal and external customers in line with business requirements.

The ideal Warehouse and Logistics Operations and Improvements Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
-A strong background leading and project manager new business implementations and transformation projects - ideally within a 3PL environment
-A strong continuous improvements background with a proven skill set to deliver projects in the most efficient manner
-PRINCE2 certified
-An understanding of how an automotive manufacturing supply chain works
Location: Tamworth, Commutable from: Burton, Lichfield, Ashby De La Zouch, Derby and surrounding areas
