Vacancy: Warehouse Manager – Manufacturing/Production

Overview:

With manufacturing sites located across the UK, we now require a Warehouse Manager to head up our Warehouse and Despatch function at the Alfreton based facility.

The basics:

Salary: 30,000-35,000 DOE

Location: Alfreton

Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm

Benefits: Pension, 29 day's holidays (rises to 36 days), Profit related pay, Death in service, Private Health

Environment: Warehouse and Dispatch within manufacturing

The structure:

• Team of 16 – supported by an Assistant Manager and a Supervisor
• Team consist of Permanent warehouse and despatch operatives
• Warehouse runs 7:30am-6pm
• Manufacturing is 24/6 Mon-Sat

The ideal Warehouse Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

• Previous experience managing a Warehouse/Dispatch function within a Manufacturing/Production environment
• Hold a NEBOSH/IOSH General Certificate
• A thorough understanding of safe working practices and methods
• Able to demonstrate competence with Health and Safety requirements
• A strong understanding of IT programs including Microsoft Office
• Experience of Sage ERP or CRM packages is desirable

Overview of duties/responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a continual improvement approach through identification and implementation of enhancements to process that improve efficiency and service provision
• Manage and implement a warehouse target system to ensure service levels are not compromised with the customer and production departments
• Lead the warehouse team to drive forward performance and improve quality issues and ensuring that all team members are following the rules and procedures of the factory (ISO 9000, 14000, OHSAS 18001)
• Manage goods in and dispatch of goods through our network of third party pallet carriers.
• Maintain accurate stock checks
• Be able to lead and motivate team members setting clear objectives and identifying any training needs
