We are currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Supervisor in Widnes to work for an expanding organisation.

As a Transport Operations Supervisor you will be reporting to the Site Depot Manager you will be responisble for supporting the operational requirements, by managing and organising a diverse team of transport personnel to satisfy compliance and achieve delivery schedules in line with customer expectations and within agreed budget levels. You will be responsible for managing the team in a way that supports the company ethos on Safety, Quality, and high work standards.

You will lead the execution of the Transport plan and provide leadership and supervision of day to day Transport issues, including debriefs and work in progress.

Do you have?

• Knowledge of Transport operations
• Knowledge and understanding systems, with experience of Tachomaster, Road Sense or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Transport environment including Health & Safety, Food safety
• Knowledge of Logistics, Food Safety and Health & Safety legislative requirements.
• Health & Safety – safety leadership
• C1 – 7.5T Qualified.
• Managing cost constraints
• Quality orientation
• Change orientation

Working in a dynamic team within the Widnes Depot, we are looking for a Transport Operations Supervisor with a strong work ethic who can apply a flexible approach to their work. There may be times, that due to operational issues, your duties will fall outside of your usual remit so adaptability and the ability to use your initiative are essential. Experience of working in a similar role is vital and you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems as well as a strong geographical knowledge of the UK. You will also need a good intermediate knowledge of MS word and Excel, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be solution driven.
