Role : Tool Room Manager
Location : Rotherham South Yorkshire
Salary : 38,000
Hours of Work - Monday - Friday DAYS

Main Area's of Responsibility of a Tool Room Manager

• To ensure the following services are fit for purpose and ensure continuous reliability
• Plan, prepare and execute all work involving mould shop for job changes
• Co-ordinate day and shift craft personnel through a systematic approach, and data collection to ensure maximum output
• Maintain all current running mould equipment
• Add to mould repair output by carrying out inspections and repairs where time permits
• Carry out regular assessments of Apprentices
• Audit, Appraise, Coach and Support Team Leaders and Craftsmen

Knowledge and Skills of a Tool Room Manager

• Apprentice trained mechanical engineer
• Experience within a tooling or mould making / mould repair environment is essential for this role
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience of Lean Manufacturing - Desirable
• Experience in gas Welding / milling / turning / polishing is essential
• Understanding of targets and OTIF ( On Time In Full )

Qualifications of a Tool Room Manager

• ILM Level 2 ( or equivalent ) Desirable
• IOSH or equivalent H&S training
