Nicholas Associates Group (Technical Division) is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for an Test Development Engineer, to join an award-winning design and manufacturer of hi-tech electronic and electromechanical products based in the Goole area.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and as part of the Production/Manufacturing Engineering team, the primary focus for the Test Development Engineer is to develop suitable test routines and testing process – Electrical/ Electronic/ Hardware/ Software tests.

KEY DUTIES

• Design, development and implementation of automated production test facilities
• Responsible for continuous improvement of existing production test facilities
• Support production test issues when required
• Responsible for day to day results analysis, trends and traceability
• Monitor yields and trends in order to identify process improvement opportunities
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

SKILLS & EXPIRENCE

• Ideally you will be educated to Degree level in Electronics Engineering or related disciplines
• Must have a proven track record in production test development activities
• Labview experience is essential
• Experience in electrical and mechanical design of production test equipment
• Experience in developing automated test production test equipment
• RF knowledge is beneficial
• Knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing principles
