Nicholas Associates (Engineering, Manufacturing & Technical) are recruiting on behalf of an engineering client for a Supply Chain Manager to join their Cumbernauld based team.

As part of the Project Management Team the successful Supply Chain Manager will be managing all aspects of supplier relationship to ensure company and client requirements are met in full.

The Role

• Liaising with Analysts to Identify Purchase Requirements.
• Supplier selection and negotiation based on Quality, Delivery and Price.
• Raising Purchase Orders and ensuring all documents and requirements are referred to and correct.
• Managing Purchase Order dates to meet sales and finance requirements.
• Liaising with Purchasing Assistants on data accuracy and dealing with suppliers on any issues arising.

The Person

The Supply Chain Manager will have:

• The ability to work in a Global Team
• A good understanding of materials specifications.
• Knowledge of common offshore grades.
• Understanding of import/export trade regulations.
• 3 to 5 years' experience of Supply Chain Management.
