Nicholas Associates are working with a residential groundworks & civil engineering company based in the North East who are looking to strengthen their engineering department by recruiting an additional Site Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Setting out for all elements of groundworks; 278 works, roads, kerbs, foundations, drainage etc.

• 
  

  Liaise with workforce and contractors regarding setting out information

• 
  

  Assist and prepare sketches for distribution and ensuring all teams understand the plans

• 
  

  Preparation of as-builts

• 
  

  All relevant Q&A with the project

• 
  

  Communicate well with all teams to ensure technical problems are overcome and queries answered

Skills and experience required:

• 
  

  HNC or Degree in Civil engineering / Construction preferred but not required

• 
  

  Minimum 3 - 5 years experience setting out for groundworks, levels, deep drainage, highways, roads, 278 works and earthworks

• 
  

  Be proficient with a range of design software including AutoCAD Or Civil 3D (preferred)

• 
  

  Full Driving Licence

• 
  

  Experience using robotic total station

• 
  

  Have excellent communication skills both written & verbal

• 
  

  A valid CSCS card
