Growing at pace and opening new regions, this Civil Engineering Contractor specialise in residential groundworks projects including foundations, 278 works and infrastructure works. Their client’s include Keepmoat Homes, Miller Homes, Bovis and Barratt Homes. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• 
  

  Setting out, levelling and surveying the site using GPS total stations

• 
  

  Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations

• 
  

  Overseeing quality control

• 
  

  Keeping a site diary

• 
  

  Resolving any unexpected technical problems

• 
  

  Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials

• 
  

  Liaising between design engineers and the construction team, to ensure plans and drawings are accurate and achievable

Experience Required:

• 
  

  Minimum HNC in construction or civil engineering

• 
  

  3 years-experience in a similar role with a groundworks contractor.

• 
  

  Ability to work under own initiative.

• 
  

  Good technical knowledge of materials to ensure specification alternatives are submitted for consideration to be able to implement value engineering opportunities.

• 
  

  Good communications skills
