Job Details

Our client, a well established civil engineering contractors, is currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our growing civil engineering team, delivering works on a sewage treatment site in Leicester. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role where you will take full responsibility for managing civil engineering operations and ensuring successful project delivery.

The Role
As Site Agent, you will lead the day-to-day running of the site, coordinating labour, plant, and materials to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships while driving quality and performance on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site operations across drainage and reinforced concrete (RC) works
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Monitor progress against programme and drive productivity in a fast-paced environment
• Liaise directly with the client, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Oversee method statements, risk assessments, and technical compliance
• Work closely with commercial and planning teams to control costs and programme delivery
• Resolve on-site challenges efficiently while maintaining project momentum

About You

• Proven experience within civil engineering projects
• Strong background in drainage and reinforced concrete structures
• Experience working on water or sewage treatment projects is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience
• Able to thrive in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment
