The basics:
Job title: Sheet Metal Worker
Location: near Derby
Industry: Precision engineering
Shifts and Pay available:
Option 1:
Monday to Thursday days 6am to 6pm 48hrs = £18.87 per hour / £47099 per annum.
Option 2:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm & Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm. 39hrs £17.84 per hour / £36179 per annum. This role would be a team leading role with 90% direct sheet metal and 10% management/support.
Option 3:
Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm rotating with 2pm to 10pm and Fridays 6am to 1pm rotating with 1pm to 6pm.
39hrs £20.20 per hour / £40965 per annum.
Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays.
Benefits: 4 hours per year for appointments - doctors, dentist etc. Employer Contribution pension - 3% increases to 5% after 3 years' service. 3 weeks full sick after 1 year service. Annual pay rise negotiated each year.
Key responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Worker:
* Includes bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburr, stretching and inspecting all to tight tolerances
* Working to drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
* Setting and operating machinery supplied for the manufacture of sheet metal components.
The ideal candidate / Sheet metal worker may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
* Time Served Apprenticeship
* Previous experience working with thin gauge sheet metal
