Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

Environment: Manufacturing - precision engineering

Location: Derby

Shift pattern: Monday to Thursday days only 6am to 6pm 48hrs per week

Overtime: paid at 1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays

Role: Permanent

Holidays: 33 days

Benefits: Death in service x2 of salary, pension

Overview:

We are now looking for an additional Sheet metal worker to join the team working with thin gauge metal to manufacture parts and fabrications using techniques such as shrinking, stretching, drilling, countersinking and de-burring.

The ideal candidate / Sheet metal worker may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

- Previous experience manipulating metal using stretching, shrinking etc.

- Comfortable working with 1mm to 4mm metal sheet

- Any experience with brake press, guillotine, band saw beneficial

- Any aluminium thin gauge sheet metal beneficial

Key responsibilities of the Sheet metal worker:

- Includes bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburr, stretching and inspecting all to tight tolerance

Commutable from Derby, Burton, Nottingham, Belper, Loughborough and surrounding areas.
