For over 25 years, our client has grown and expanded to become one of the UK’s leading Civil Engineering and Groundworks companies. They provide a highways, infrastructure, groundworks, bulk earthworks, bridge infrastructure service to Main Contractors, Residential Developers and Local Authorities.

The company are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within their strategic infrastructure division.

Role Description

• Working closely with the Commercial Director and project delivery teams to protect the commercial and contractual interests of the business
• Control costs
• Completing monthly valuations
• Recognising and pricing variations/drawing revisions
• Procurement and management of sub-contract orders
• Forecasting and reporting mid-month progress
• Meeting and communicating with the client

Requirements

• 
  

  BSc or HND / HNC in Quantity Surveying (preferred)l)

• 
  

  Experience of civil engineering projects, specifically highways and infrastructure

• 
  

  Chartered/Qualified Quantity Surveyor (preferred)

• 
  

  Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate the preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations

• 
  

  Good IT skills, proficient with MS Office and Excel programs

• 
  

  Strong communication skills with a good standard of written English.

• 
  

  The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• 
  

  Able to work on own initiative

• 
  

  The ability to work within a team and build effective working relationships both internally and externally

• 
  

  Methodical, conscientious and organised, works to deliver high standards

• 
  

  Self–disciplined, with demonstrably good time management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities
