My client is a leading groundworks company based in the East Midlands. As a business they undertake contracts ranging from 500K to 5M focussed on the residential and commercial sectors. They have and enviable presence both locally and nationally with a dedicated and motivated workforce who enjoy internal progression.

Due to expansion, my client is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report to a Director and be responsible for the commercial management of 5 - 6 projects.

General Responsibilities:

Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
Prepare budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
Measure and value the work done on site
Liaise with the client and colleagues; including Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers

Experience Required:

Experience working within the groundworks sector on residential and commercial projects
Ideally have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
A logical and organised approach to work
Team player who promotes and protects the interest of the business at all times
