Are you a Quality Engineer and have you worked in Senior roles managing a team within a quality function of a manufacturing business?

Do you have previous experience working in a high volume large batch work manufacturing environment?

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm flex office hours

Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Location: Mansfield (Rainworth)

Team: Responsible for leading a team of engineers whilst being supported and working closely with the Quality Manager

 

The role:



  • ·           To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by investigating root causes.
  • ·           To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by implementing effective containment and preventative measures.
  • ·           To calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
  • ·           To generate required  FAIRS & PPAP’s
  • ·           To perform product audits as required by company procedures
  • ·           To assist in the monitoring and development of products, processes, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • ·           To maintain required records in EFACS
  • To generate reports into nonconformance investigations to interested parties.

    • ·           To suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company.
    • ·           To report any hazards or near misses using iAuditor.
    • ·           To always represent and promote our Company and our values in a positive light in line with Company policies.
    • ·           To attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.



 

 

 

 

 

 

The ideal Senior Quality Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

•             Good mechanical engineering and technical skills

•             An understanding of large batch high volume manufacturing

•             Experience with data collection and analysis

•             Experienced in problem solving techniques (8D)

•             Good knowledge of Statistical Process Capability (MSA and Gauge R&R)

•             Be able to perform PFMEA on process and product

•             Good knowledge of PPAP and its implementation

•             Good communication skills

•             Knowledge of special process requirements

•             Knowledge of 6 Sigma process

•             Competent/capable if leading a team of quality engineers/inspectors

  • ·           Good knowledge of inspection and inspection equipment.
