Senior Project Manager - Manufacturing

Would you be competent at managing major capital investments projects for a large manufacturing business that have plants located across the UK?
Do you have previous experience taking a project from design stage all the way through to installation on site?

Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Manufacturing plants located across the UK
Environment: Medium to Heavy engineering that include robotics and automated PLC driven machinery
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 plus car and package
Benefits include: 33 days holiday, Life Insurance, Company Pension Scheme
Hours: Monday-Friday days
As the Senior Project Manager you will be tasked to manage major capital investment projects from start (design and planning) through to delivery (installation and commission).
This role will be focused towards improving engineering processes, machinery improvements and upgrading of factory machinery.
The ideal Senior Project Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
Degree in Engineering – electrical/mechanical engineering
Prince 2 Certified
HND Project Management
Managed CAPEX AND DMAIC projects £500,000 +
A good understanding of Electrical/Mechanical engineering and a strong appreciation for machinery maintenance
Previous experience working in a projects focused role within an engineering and manufacturing environment where production output and delivery is key.
Previous experience managing teams of engineers who will aid in project delivery
PLC/controls systems experience beneficial
Proficient in technical design packages – CAD
Strong reporting, financial and budget experience
Business-focused and cost control/asset conscious
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Office
LEAN Manufacturing background
