Nicholas Associates are partnering with a well-established and highly reputable civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing business with a strong pipeline of large-scale developments.
As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a vital role in driving project success, leading on tendering activities, and contributing to the company's continued growth.
The Role
As Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre‑construction process, leading the pricing and tendering for civil engineering, earthworks, drainage, infrastructure packages ranging from £5m to £10m.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and lead detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
· Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders
· Work closely with the commercial, technical, and operational teams
· Attend pre‑ and post‑tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
· Identify risk and opportunity in tender submissions
About You
· Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator
· Proven experience in civil engineering
· Strong technical understanding of earthworks, drainage, infrastructure works
· Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
· Proficient with Candy or Conquest software.
· Confident communicator, capable of leading tender presentations and negotiations
