Trading for over 30 years within the reinforced concrete frame and groundworks sector, our client is leading name within the field, current turnover is over £100m+ per annum. They currently complete packages ranging in value from £10m up to £50m.

Responsibilities:

  • The conversion of tenders for large-scale civils/structures/bridges/infrastructure projects
  • Tendering for various project phases on HS2
  • Preparation of tender submissions
  • Measuring and take-offs from drawings
  • Producing bills-of-quantities
  • Cost Planning
  • Pre and post Contract meetings with clients to sell not only the price but the reason they should pick your business over others too
  • Build-up of tender price from first principles based on plans, programme, and scope of works

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator/Senior Estimator
  • Main Contractor / Principal Contractor experience
  • Experience of civil engineering/structures/bridges/infrastructure projects
  • Have a robust knowledge of pricing and current rates for the concrete structures
  • Experience in the conversion of tenders for projects over £10m plus
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work on your own initiative
  • Decisive and reliable with excellent attention to detail
