The basics:
Role: Electrical Project Manager Water
Location: Belper with contracts predominantly Midlands and South Yorkshire
Salary: 40,000-45,000 + CAR
Travel limited amount of stop overs involved in this role
Benefits: Company car, Fuel card, Laptop, Mobile, 33 days holiday, expenses paid.
Hours: Monday to Friday core office hours
Structure: Reporting to the contracts manager, working closely with Senior Mechanical Project Managers and supported by a lead electrical engineer and electrical engineers
Overview:
Responsible for the coordination of electrical projects from tender to finish. Projects will be predominantly awarded through framework agreements, from the Environment Agency and water authorities, throughout the UK. You must build strong relationships with the provider of the projects and then deliver the project with the help of the team. This will be a projects focused role with a small element of hands on, however the team are well versed and experienced in electrical control installations. This role will require a focus towards the hardware of controls rather than the software.
Example projects:
Installation of new control cabinets at large water pumping stations
The ideal Electrical Project Manager Water will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
-Worked within a water focused electrical engineering and projects environment with low voltage 415v experience
-Electrical controls background with site experience of diagnosis and repair of control panels
-Previous experience working as a projects engineer within the water industry
-CSCS card
- 18th edition
-IOSH beneficial
-SMSTS accredited
-HND/HNC Electrical engineering
-Knowledge of MCC's and control cabinets
-Competent at the procurement and installation of electrical hardware
-Competent PC/Computer skills knowledge of Autocad beneficial
Commutable from - Belper, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas.
