Position : Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager

Location : Home based, ideally within an hour or so of North Derbyshire to allow for an easy run into the office when needed

Salary : 25,000-40,000 basic, car or allowance, bonus

Sector : Specialist metal manufacturing

The Company :
A specialist manufacturer of metal products whose products are sold into a wide variety of industry sectors from white goods to automotive to control systems to electronics

The Role :

• Taking responsibility for a number of clients based across the UK, mainland Europe, South Africa
• Building solid relationships with technical managers, product development engineers and purchasing professionals
• Managing current spend along with ensuring that all potential opportunities are grasped
• Maximising revenue whilst maintaining margins

About you :

• Holds a technical qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar
• Able to understand engineering drawings and to participate in technical meetings
• Commercially aware
• Willing to travel ; this is very much a field based role and regular and frequent visits to clients throughout the UK and abroad will be necessary. 50% travel will be expected with trips of up to 1 week
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term relationships
• Some sales experience is essential although training and development will definitely be available
