Sales Executive - Engineering Training - Home Based

Salary : Flexiible with basic 20,000-24,000 plus bonus / commission OTE 30,000-40,000 according to performance

Please Note : Please Note : The client and prospect base for this company are literally all over the world. Whilst a large part of the customer base is in the UK and Europe, they boast customers in the USA, India, Australia and elsewhere. As a result you will also need to be flexible to work some "unsocial" hours eg early mornings to catch the far east market and into the evening to catch the North American market. Their American market is currently extremely buoyant and is likely to be an area of focus for 2021. This will mean that working hours will need to tie in with USA time zones on a regular basis eg 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm UK time

  • About You

  • You must be able to demonstrate experience of selling in a B2B environment. Experience of selling training services is preferred and any understanding of the engineering and manufacturing sector would be extremely beneficial although training is available
  • Good level of competence with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with CRM systems is preferred
  • Experience of hosting meetings on Zoom or Teams is preferred
  • Experience of using Linked In as a research and sales tool is beneficial
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
  • Confident in cold calling prospects, working from a database of c 100,000 potential customers
  • Tenacious and self-motivated, able to manage your own time effectively
  • It would be useful if you had transport to enable you to attend occasional company meetings
  • Access to a home office would be beneficial

About the role :

Your job will be to contact current clients and prospects to introduce and sell an extensive range of training courses aimed at the engineering and design environment. You may be speaking to Engineering Directors, Engineering Managers, Design Managers, Learning / Training and Development Managers, Human Resources Managers and will need to be able explain your services in a professional yet friendly manner

You will need to record your conversations and activities to ensure that a full client communications history is available to the whole company at all times including any negotiated agreements.

You may be booking training sessions directly or arranging appointments for one of the specialist Service Delivery Consultants to follow up with another conversation.

You will make sure that the CRM is kept up to date, and that any pre-arranged / pre-booked conversations or communications take place as arranged.

Whilst speaking with clients and prospects, you be alert to opportunities to offer extra services to the client or to asking for referrals to their partner companies, customers or supply chain.
