Sizewell C Project | Suffolk

Are you an experienced Quality professional looking to take a leading role on one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure projects, in Suffolk?

Our client, a major contractor delivering works on the prestigious Sizewell C development, is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to join their growing team in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring quality standards are maintained across a complex, high-profile construction environment.

Working closely with operational teams, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives, you will lead the quality assurance process from project delivery through to successful handover, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and excellence at every stage.

The Opportunity

As Quality Assurance Lead, you will take ownership of project quality processes, driving best practice across multiple workstreams and ensuring all documentation, inspections, and quality records meet both client and project requirements.

This role would suit an experienced Quality Engineer looking to step into a leadership position, or an established Quality Lead seeking a new challenge on a nationally important infrastructure programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage quality assurance activities across the project.
  • Support operational teams with document control, quality records, and compliance requirements.
  • Review and manage information submitted by Quality Engineers and site teams to ensure alignment with client specifications.
  • Coordinate and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) alongside engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • Generate, monitor, and report regional quality KPIs.
  • Review client submissions to ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements.
  • Maintain and implement Project Quality Plans.
  • Drive compliance with project-specific quality procedures and standards.
  • Support the management and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Oversee the tracking, collation, and handover of project quality documentation, including O&M manuals and handover files.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across project teams.
  • Support environmental and health & safety objectives throughout project delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience within the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems, processes, and project handover requirements.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Good understanding of construction plant and site operations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working within large-scale infrastructure, rail, utilities, highways, energy, or major construction projects would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification desirable but not essential.

What's on Offer?

  • Opportunity to work on the landmark Sizewell C project.
  • Long-term project stability and career progression opportunities.
  • Exposure to one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure developments.
  • Collaborative and forward-thinking project environment.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you're passionate about quality, compliance, and delivering excellence on major projects, we'd like to hear from you.
