The basics:

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Wickford

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30

Pay: £18.54/£37,599 plus overtime = earnings of £45,000 and upwards achievable

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Overtime available at 1.5 and double.

Industry: Precision Engineering

Holidays/Benefits: Company group pension, 33 days holiday, death in service.

Overview:

We now require a Quality Inspector to join the team. You will be tasked to dimensionally inspect parts against engineering drawings using hand held measuring tools associated in a precision engineering environment - Verniers, callipers, height gauges, bore micrometers etc.

Key responsibilities of the Quality Inspector role:

  • Visually and dimensionally inspect metal precision engineered components

The ideal candidate / Quality Inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Must have previous experience using handheld measuring tools such as verniers, callipers etc.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings
  • Previous experience dimensional checking machined and fabricated components
