Position : Quality and Logisitics Manager

Quality Aspects

• Ensuring that all production, packing and documentation including accreditations and approvals is correct, acceptable and fit for purpose
• Ensure that all products are assembled to the latest approved drawings before being dispatched to site
• Manage and ensure all visual and performance mock ups and hand samples are correctly presented for installation
• Over a longer period obtain and maintain certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc along with any other industry specific requirements such as meeting ETAG002 structural silicone application and testing procedure
• Train, manage and grow the quality team for manufacture and installation
• Inspection of incoming marterials and finished goods documenting any damage or defects to the project manager,

Logistics Aspects

• Leading the teams responsible for arranging, checking and sorting all incoming materials and finished goods
• Arranging specific material testing regimes and the associated project submission for approval to the project manager both physical materials and paperwork submissions
• Managing materials storage and handling silicones and other perishables.
• Ensuring that all logistics documentation is correct and maintained
• Maintain the inspection and test plan
• To lead on quality improvement projects

About You :

• Proven experience of working in a quality function in a manufacturing environment is essential, ideally assembly / manual processes
• Experience of fenestration products / curtain walling / facades is beneficial, and any understanding of structural silicone / glass bonding would be very useful
• Experience of working to ISO standards and of maintaining QA records is essential. Any experience of implementing new quality standards would be very welcome. Auditing experience beneficial
• Experience of fault investigation / root cause analysis / 8d corrective action
• Experiene of improvement projects - any CI accreditation is useful eg six sigma, 5S
• An understanding of logistics, materials planning and management, inventory control, despatch and delivery,
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification is beneficial
