Project Manager - Civils Contractor
Location: Reading University
Start Date: June 2026
Programme Duration: 23 Weeks

A leading Civils Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a £4 million external works package at Reading University.

The project includes a full range of external and infrastructure works, including:
* Drainage installation
* Block paving works
* Water feature construction
* Car park construction and associated civils works

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the successful delivery of the project from start to completion
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
* Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
* Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety, and compliance
* Attend and lead progress meetings with the client and stakeholders
* Monitor programme performance and provide regular progress updates
* Oversee procurement, labour, and resource planning

Requirements:
* Previous experience delivering civils and external works projects
* Strong understanding of drainage, infrastructure, and groundworks packages
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
* Ability to manage fast-paced projects and meet tight deadlines
