Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Senior Project Engineer to join the business. You will be the sole project engineer on site working closely with the engineering manager and maintenance teams to deliver projects from start to finish.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Mansfield

Salary: up to 45,000 DOE
Hours: 8:30am-5pm with a 1hr lunch - Monday to Friday
Holidays 33 Days per year
Benefits: up to 9% pension, company c anteen and uniform, free onsite parking and scope within a large corporate manufacturing business

Key responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer and brief duties

As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer you will hold have responsibility and autonomy for the planning and execution of site Capital Projects/CAPEX projects and associated site maintenance projects.

-Propose resolutions to health and Safety, Business sponsored or Factory driven improvement projects.
-Develop each proposal into a full-scale project plan and associated communications documents
-Draft and submit budget proposals for each project
-Effectively communicate project expectations and success criteria to team members and stakeholders in a and clear fashion and on a regular basis
-Determine project resources and participants needed to achieve goals.
-Negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of internal labour from within the company.
-Purchase external labour / service as required
-Manage both mechanical and electrical resource with Technical support from Electrical Co-ordinator
-Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
-Direct and manage each project from beginning to end
-Prepare and maintain project safety documentation and technical files
-Prepare and submit Capital Expenditure Requests

The ideal Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

Time served apprenticeship
Strong Mechanical Maintenance background, working within automated manufacturing/production environment or similar
Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND/Degree level
Previous experience managing projects within a manufacturing environment from start to finish
Any maintenance experience beneficial as working closely within the maintenance function
IT literate
Confident communicator
AutoCAD 2d experience beneficial

Location: Mansfield Commutable from Heanor, Sutton In Ashfield, Derby, Nottingham, Chesterfield and surround areas.
