Position: Production Manager

Location: Sheffield

About the role:

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the production team
• Provide leadership and guidance to Team Leaders in individual production areas
• Co-ordinate work force availability including holidays, absenteeism and disciplinary issues
• Set production objectives in line with the Operations Management
• Update Operations Manager on production activities and issues
• Communicate KPI information to the production team and ensure targets are met
• Guarantee adherence to production processes, specifications and quality management systems
• Generate NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports) where required
• Ensure maintenance and calibration controls of all equipment is carried out in line with company policies
• Assist in Continuous Improvements activities

About You:

• Sound knowledge of managing a machine shop environment
• Previous experience of production leadership
• Ability to implement and develop LEAN procedures
• Previous experience of working in a complicated manufacturing environment
• Computer literate
