Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering & Technical Division) is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for a Production Manager to join a global manufacturing organisation supplying a range of niche metal products (Tier 1 & Tier 2 – Product dependant) to the automotive sector. The role of Production Manager will be based out of my clients newly-opened premises based in the Caerphilly County Borough area.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new team, working on this exciting greenfield project that is set to bring over 250 + jobs to the local area!

Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Manager the Production Manager will be responsible for a team of circa. 20, including a team leaders across 3 shifts.

Key Duties:

• To oversee and lead the CNC production, in line with company strategy and key performance indicators.
• People / culture development and training in alignment with new methods / practices / products being introduced.
• Manage, implement and sustain continuous improvement throughout a CNC production environment.
• Management of overtime to meet output targets, control of direct labour costs and improve Team Efficiency.

Experience Required:

• Ideally, you will hold formal qualifications (Degree, HND, HNC etc.) in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines.
• An extensive knowledge of CNC manufacturing process is essential.
• A strong and capable man-manager, who has a strong 'shop floor' presence.

Salary & Benefits

• 36,000 - 38,000 depending on experience
