Job Title - Production Manager
Environment Manufacturing, assembly skilled and non skilled workforce
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm at present and for the foreseeable (however within the contract shift work may materialise as production increases)
Location: Derby near to Willington, Derbyshire
Salary: 45,000-55,000 + shift premiums should you ever be required to work a shift as follows:
2 shifts rotating (AM/PM) 10% of basic salary
3 shift rotating (AM/PM/NIGHTS) 20% of basic salary
Night shift only 25% basic salary
4 on/off 30% basic salary
33 days holiday
Pension up to 5%
Free onsite car park
Structure: As the production manager you will be managing a team of hands on labour/assembly operatives of 100 and supported by 14 team leaders, reporting directly to the operations manager.

The plant is now entering a period of growth to which they now require a strong manager who can bring first class manufacturing principles and ideas to the company.
The role in brief:
Responsible for the achievement of Factory Output, Targets, KPI's, including Quality, Cost, Delivery and the efficient management of site resources and manpower
Support continuous improvement work culture
Coach and Mentor
Carry our performance reviews and disciplinary procedures along with HR
Control budget and overtime spend
The ideal Production Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
-Strong background managing within a Production/Manufacturing environment Not FMCG and highly automated production environments
-HND/HNC in an engineering/manufacturing discipline
-Competent at culture change, coaching and developing proven experience
-Worked in a manufacturing environment with skilled and semi-skilled assembly operatives
-Experience of quality management systems
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills
-Knowledge of Lean manufacturing' techniques beneficial
-ILM Management Cert
-Health and safety focused
-Cost efficient/cost reduction awareness
-Previous experience implementing new ideas, KPI's and getting the best results out of the team.
