Nicholas Associates Group is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for a Production Engineer, to join committed and multi-disciplined team of engineers based in their modern manufacturing and commercial facility in Cheltenham.

KEY DUTIES

  • Drive improvement projects into manufacturing operations
  • Support Quality with root cause analysis using lean / problem solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5WHYs etc.
  • Provide support for NPI of equipment and processes
  • Recommend new equipment when and where necessary
  • This position is for someone who has a "can-do" attitude, is hands-on, fully flexible, committed to doing the best job possible and takes pride in their work


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally you will hold qualifications (HNC, HND, Degree) in the following disciplines - Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemistry or similar.
  • A strong knowledge of metals and metal manufacturing process
  • Adept with lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Six Sigma Green belt is a distinct advantage but not essential.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in approach to work and demands of this.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
