Job Title – Procurement, Pricing and Estimating Officer

Salary – 40-45K Basic

Location – Northampton

Benefits – 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Laptop, Mobile, 4% Pension

Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering & Technical) are recruiting for a Procurement and Estimating officer for our client, a well established Power Generation business in the UK supplying Gas Engines and CHP’s.

This position has emerged due to an increase in supplier inquiries and increases in industry demand. This coupled with the business long term plans, it’s an ideal opportunity to build a team and foundation of a commercial procurement team

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Price Estimates of Gas Engines, CHP’s and associated equipment

• 
  

  Build relationships with suppliers to efficiently manage the procurement process

• 
  

  Negotiate with numerous suppliers to maintain the best prices for relevant products

• 
  

  Support Operations Manager in all matters relating to pricing, procurement and estimating

Required Skills and Experience

• 
  

  Knowledge of combustion engines or similar electro-mechanical based technology

• 
  

  Strong negotiation skills

• 
  

  Analytical approach with attention to detail

• 
  

  Knowledge of pricing models and actual margins vs expected margins
