THE COMPANY:

Nicholas Associates have an exciting opportunity for a Press Brake Operator. You will be responsible for bending and forming sheet metal into various shapes and sizes to customers specifications.

HOURS OF WORK:

Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm

Friday 8am to 3.30pm

THE JOB:

• 
  

  Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and cut metal to customer specifications.

• 
  

  Read and interpret technical drawings.

• 
  

  Prepare materials for bending, including laying out, marking, and attaching necessary accessories.

• 
  

  Adjust tool and die for precise bending operations.

• 
  

  Set up cutting, punching, bending, and thread rolling machines

• 
  

  Measure, mark out, cut, punch, bend, shear, weld, clean sheet, and plate.

• 
  

  Measure, cut, bend and debur bar.

• 
  

  Operate the laser cutting machines to produce cut to size plate and sheet to meet product tolerances and specifications.

• 
  

  Monitor the press brake operation and adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy and quality.

THE PERSON:

• 
  

  Previous Press Brake operating and setting experience essential

• 
  

  Ideally knowledge of Software programming

• 
  

  Ability to read, understand and follow 1st and 3rd angle projection drawings

• 
  

  Knowledge of working with different grades of metal

• Competent at using all forms of measuring equipment, i.e. Vernier, rulers, angle measuring devices
