Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our renowned metal profiling company in Sheffield. This role is central to our production team, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in the manufacture of sheet metal components. You will be working with Trumpf press brake machinery, producing parts for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation & Setup
    • Operate and set up Trumpf press brake machines to produce sheet metal components.
    • Program machines, adjust settings, and carry out tool changes to meet production requirements.
  • Quality & Accuracy
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Perform regular quality checks to ensure all parts meet strict tolerances.
    • Record production data and report any defects or issues promptly.
  • Collaboration & Workflow
    • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to resolve issues quickly.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating press brake machinery (Trumpf preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts/overtime when required.
