Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: York Area, North Yorkshire

Shift Pattern: Days (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: £19.70/hour

Reporting to: Planned Maintenance Manager

Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, to join an established client in the York area. You will be responsible for working on reactive & planned maintenance, to all equipment on site.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Perform Statutory and Preventative Maintenance on Plant and Equipment.
  • Responding to plant breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults on plant and equipment.
  • Carry out Plant Repairs, rebuilds as required
  • Manufacture replacement parts as / if required - lathe / milling experience preferred
  • Assist in plant and equipment installation in line with design specifications.
  • Use portable plant and power tools correctly.
  • Welding / Fabrication
  • Flexibility to work overtime if needed
  • A good level of IT literacy to support the documentation side of the role using the company CMMS system.
  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician
  • Level 3 NVQ Mechanical Engineering or similar, is preferable.
  • Undertake additional training as required.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Follow company safety systems and work protocol
  • Experience with CAD / Solidworks, is advantageous
  • Experience in Automation / Robots, is advantageous
  • Electrically Competent - 18th Edition, is advantageous
