Nicholas Associates Professional are excited to be partnering a renowned principal engineering contractor who is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee the design and build of structural steelwork, cladding, piling and material handling equipment/conveyors on this high profile project.

Summary:

As Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for heavy material handling systems on the project. You will be responsible for all aspects of design, manufacturing and installation of the equipment.

Key Duties:

  • Review and control the manufacture of primary equipment and structures
  • Review and approval of Risk Assessment and Method statement - Lifting plans
  • Production of reports for both off site and on site works
  • Liaison between suppliers and client
  • Building & Installation of mechanical equipment specifically heavy conveyors, materials handling equipment etc

The successful candidate will have:

  • You will be able to demonstrate an extensive career in heavy equipment and conveyors
  • Mechanical engineering qualification preferred
  • Experience working in the mechanical engineering field for large multi-disciplinary projects
  • Extensive experience in material handling, building and installation of mechanical equipment
  • Able to work autonomously and proactively to solve problems
