The basics:

Job Title: Mechanical Operative

Location: Derby

Salary: Up to £21,500 DOE + shift premium and overtime

Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 15:00-00:30 and Tuesdays 15:00-01:00, however in training period (approx. 3 months) you could work 7.00am to 4.00pm or 8.00am to 5.00pm - Monday to Thursday, and 7.00am to 12.00pm - Friday

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs anything over paid at overtime rates.

Overview:

We are now looking for a Mechanical Operative to join the preparation department. For this role you will have a eye for detail and have a mechanical aptitude as you will be using hand tools prepare parts for other engineering processes within the business.

As the Mechanical Operative you will be working in a precision engineering shop floor environment in first class manufacturing facilities that produce first class engineered parts for the some of the worlds most well known brands within engineering.

The ideal Mechanical Operative will have as many of the below in order to strengthen application:

- Previous experience working in a engineering/manufacturing/production environment where a mechanical aptitude was required – practical and hands on

- Experience with mechanical methods – hand tools etc.

- Any experience of reading engineering/technical drawings beneficial
