Overview:

Nicholas Associates Engineering are now recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be working within a medium to heavy engineering environment that can offer variation in work, from projects to installs and Planned/reactive maintenance at the Ilkeston based plant.

The basics:

• Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Location: Ilkeston based facility
• Industry: Medium to Heavy manufacturing environment
• Base Salary: 29,000
• Overtime: Readily available
• Expected Earnings: 36,000 and upwards
• Shift: Monday-Friday 2 weeks of days, 1 week of afternoons, and 1 week of nights
• Benefits: Pension Scheme, Death in service - Annual Salary x 3, 33 days holiday
• Background required: Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with the desire to work in a medium to heavy engineering environment – medium to heavy plant/production machinery

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:

• To maintain service and repair all automated machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
• PPM's

The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

• Time served apprenticeship
• Strong Mechanical Maintenance background, working within automated manufacturing/ production environments.
• Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks and Conveyors
• Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
• Any welding or machining experience advantageous

• Expected pay = 36,000 and upwards
