Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer FMCG/Manufacturing
Location: Alfreton
Industry: FMCG, Manufacturing Environment
Pay: 34,576
Shift: Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:00 and 13:45-22:00 and Fridays 06:00-12:00, 11:50-18:00. There is a nights engineers that works Mon-Thurs 21:45 to 6:15am and Fridays 17:45 until 11:00am so some cover on this shift may be required at a premium rate, however this is few and far between and only for holiday cover/sickness cover but will be shared around the team if required.
Benefits: Up to 10% pension matched, Life and critical health cover, 33 days holiday.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:
To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
PPM's
The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
Time served apprenticeship
Strong Mechanical Maintenance background, working within automated manufacturing/ production environment or similar
Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks and Conveyors
Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
