Have you a strong background within Mechanical fitting/Mechanical Maintenance Engineering associated in a Manufacturing environment?

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter to join the engineering team.

This is a varied engineering environment, light automated robotics and conveyors, going up to large medium to heavy engineering applications and equipment.

Salary: 36,324.28 + overtime = 42k and upwards

Contracted hours: 44hr week – anything over paid at 1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays.

Shift: 6-6 20 day cycle working 1 in every 5 Saturdays (No Sundays required on shift rota)

2 days, 1 off, 2 nights, 4off, 4days, 1 off, 3 nights, 4off

Location: Fradley

Benefits: pension up to 4% and upwards matched, 28 days holiday, Xmas shut down, health and safety bonus, free onsite parking, PPE provided, tool allowance.

Background required: Previous experience working as a mechanical maintenance engineer/fitter within a manufacturing environment or similar

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK you will be working varied engineering environment ranging from medium to heavy production line machinery to automated robotics. The role offers variation in the form of installations/projects, reactive and planned maintenance with a strong budget for training/course to aid development.

Skills required:

Apprentice trained

A strong background within a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing environment

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter:

To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.

Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns

PPM's

The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks, Conveyors
  • Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
  • Any welding or machining experience advantageous
