Overview:

Nicholas Associates Engineering are now recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a FMCG Manufacturing Environment. My client has manufacturing sites located across the globe, and we now require an additional Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the night shift. You will be working within first class, clean, warm and modern facilities, and can offer a stable friendly relaxed work environment, with a strong budget for maintenance and training.

The basics:

• Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Location: Tibshelf
• Industry: FMCG, Manufacturing Environment
• Pay: 41,135 + quarterly bonus at 5% of base salary + profit share scheme = 43,000 approx.
• Shift: Sunday 0:00 – 07:30 and Monday – Thursday 21:45-5:45 – 39.5hr week
• Benefits: Up to 10% pension matched, Life and critical health cover, 33 days holiday.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:

• To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
• PPM's

The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

• Time served apprenticeship
• Strong Mechanical Maintenance background, working within automated manufacturing/ production environment or similar
• Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks and Conveyors
• Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
