Are you a competent Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter?

Do you want to work Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons and earn 37,000 and upwards with overtime readily available?

If so then please read on!

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter to join the engineering team.

This is a varied engineering environment, light automated robotics and conveyors, going up to large medium to heavy engineering applications and equipment.

Salary: 31,318.56 + overtime = 37,000 and upwards

Shift: Mon- Fri

Week 1. 6am – 3pm

Week 2. 12pm-9pm

Week 3. 12pm – 9pm

Overtime Rates: Mon-Sat time and and Sundays Double

Location: Reading

Benefits: pension up to 4% and upwards matched, 34 days holiday, Xmas shut down, health and safety bonus, free onsite parking, PPE provided, tool allowance.

Background required: Previous experience working as a mechanical maintenance engineer/fitter within a manufacturing environment or similar

Skills required:

Apprentice trained

A strong background within a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing environment

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter:

To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.

Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns

PPM's

The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks, Conveyors
  • Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
  • Any welding or machining experience advantageous
