Mechanical Fitter / Engineer (12 Week Contract)

Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bury

Contract Duration: 12 weeks

Rates: 18.31 per hour

Shifts: 42 hours per week - 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights 12 hrs shift pattern)

KEY DUTIES:

  • Carry out and record corrective maintenance on plant machinery and services quickly and efficiently to cause the least amount of machinery downtime
  • To ensure all machinery and services are in working order and ready for production after maintenance periods.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken complies with the company policies & procedures under the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Ensure all PPM is carried our as per the schedules and any deviancies reported to the manager.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally you will be a time-served Mechanical Fitter/Engineer possessing qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Experience of working in a heavy engineering environment.
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience
