Position : Mechanical Engineer
Environment : Research and development of process plant and machinery for the renewable energy sector
Location : South Yorkshire - Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, M1 / M18 / A1
Salary : 40-45,000 according to experience and ability

Essential Requirements

• Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (possibly Chemical Engineering depending on electives)
• A proficient user of the Ansys Workbench for thermodynamics, thermofluids, CFD, FEA etc
• The right to live and work in the UK without restriction - we are unable to offer any sponsorship for this role
• Analytical and organised
• Able to create and maintain records of results
• Willing to push the boundaries of what is deemed possible
• Resilience, not accepting failure
• Happy to get out into the workshop and oversee test and development

Preferred / Beneficial

• A post graduate qualification eg MEng, PhD etc
• Chartered Engineer status
• Proficiency with a 3d CAD package (Solidworks, Solid Edge, Inventor, Catia etc)
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplined research and development team
• Experience of working in a safety critical environment
• An interest in renewable energy systems and their applications now and in the future
• An understanding of industry standards eg ATEX, PED,
• UK driving licence and own transport as depending on your location, public transport to the site can be challenging
