Senior Mechanical Design Building Services Engineer required!

Due to increasing growth we now require a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

If you have previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer working within a building services environment, or a design environment within contractors, and have experience working with a range of projects then we would like to hear from you!!

The business operate out of branches based in Derby and Nottingham , working within a modern open plan office environment.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week – Flex/Core office hours

Salary Range: 45,000-55,000 Dependent on experience/Negotiable

The role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of projects across varying market sectors, and for delivering services from inception / feasibility through to detailed and fully coordinated design information to installation quality. Additionally the successful candidate shall be well versed in undertaking project inspections, fault finding and maintenance assessments.

You will be required to deliver client focused effective design solutions, and have a good working knowledge of cost and value in design.

Project areas:

Education, Commercial, Retail, Residential, Leisure, Education and Healthcare etc.

The candidate:

The successful candidate will have experience of undertaking mechanical design, producing 2D CAD drawings (experience with Revit and BIM would be advantageous) compiling reports, managing information streams, working with suppliers and contractors as well as attending client and contractor meetings.

• Experience of calculation software such as Hevacomp is essential.
• Experience of calculation software such as Hevacomp is essential.
• We are also aiming to extend our Thermal Modelling capabilities in house, and someone with experience in using IES or similar software would be an added advantage.

We are looking for an intermediate engineer with the following skills sets:

• Completed a Minimum of a HND in a relevant subject.
• MINIMUM of 5 years Building Services consultancy experience.
• Competent user of industry specific software such as Heavacomp.
• Competent use of AutoCAD/Revit.
