The basics

• Job Title: Materials Planner
• Hours: 8am-5:30pm
• Salary: 35,000-45,000
• Location: Derby
• Holidays and Benefits: Bonus 9% target, 33 days holiday, Pension upto 5%, Private healthcare

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the World we are now looking for a Materials Planner to join the Supply Chain team.

Reporting to the supply chain manager you be joining a team of 6 in a fast paced planning department.

The role in brief:

• Responsible for creating, monitoring, analysing, and improving the demand forecast for the business, both short and long term forecasting
• Working closely with all stakeholders you will be reviewing and evaluating the current situation, across all product types (sale and captive use), brands and channels, to understand and address the effects of deviations from the demand plan.
• You will be jointly responsible for monitoring the forecast accuracy & bias and constantly looking for solutions and tools to improve the accuracy of the plan.

Responsibilities to include:

• Prepare accurate demand forecast for all products within an 18 month window
• Propose improvements to the forecasting process
• Prepare and monitor KPI's to measure forecast accuracy

The ideal Materials Planner will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application.

• Previous experience in a demand planning and forecasting background
• A manufacturing background within planning beneficial
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• CIPS qualified
• Strong Microsoft excel skills
