Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering & Technical Division) is recruiting on behalf of a long standing client for a Maintenance Team Leader to join a respected manufacturing organisation supplying a range of niche products into Civil, Retail & Leisure sectors.

SUMMARY:

The role of a Maintenance Team Leader is to provide breakdown cover and carry out preventative maintenance to various production machinery and in addition to manage a small team of engineers.

SHIFTS:

Days - 40 per week but could involve shift and weekend work and on call 7 days a week with a 50 minimum call out amount.

KEY DUTIES:

• Provide effective leadership and development to a small multi-skilled engineering team.
• Carry out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance
• Trouble shooting on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and PLC controlled machinery.
• Writing and developing PPM schedules
• Project work/Continuous Improvement
• Implement improvements which are cost effective and also to ensure the smooth running of machinery in the factory.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• HND / HNC or equivalent preferred or a Recognised Time served Apprenticeship.
• Must have expirence of CNC / Drives / Motors
• Good electrical fault finding skills is essential.
• Experience in a team leader/supervisor position in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge, IOSH preferable.
• Appropriate IT skills (confident use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
