Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor – reliability engineering and projects department

Location: Newcastle Under Lyme

Industry: Manufacturing

Pay: £45,000-£55,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am-5pm

Structure: Working closely with the plant manager and engineering manager and deputising for them when required

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK we now require a Senior Engineer to oversee the reliability engineering and projects department.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor – reliability engineering and projects department role:

- Tasked to will the highest valued reliability engineering services in a safe and productive manner, minimizing production losses and maintenance costs.

- Ensure that all Health & Safety rules and systems are strictly adhered to. Assist in risk assessment and the identification of hazards.

- Motivate and train employees towards continuous improvement.

- Lead root cause failure analysis efforts for incidents triggered by documented procedures or at the request of production.

- Contribute to the Corporate Weekly Reliability Meetings.

- Control production loss and maintenance cost data to lead problem solving / troubleshooting teams prioritised to generate the greatest value returns.

- Establish strong relationships with the Maintenance and Operations employees to build the necessary disciplines for efficient and effective running of the plant.

The ideal Maintenance Supervisor – reliability engineering and projects engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

- An experienced engineer who has a strong background within Maintenance Engineering and Manufacturing.

- Previous experience working in a senior role

- Engineering qualifications at HNC or above

- Technically competent – electrical and mechanical/multi skilled

- An understanding of a variety of processes and engineering concepts.

- Familiar with condition monitoring tools such as: vibration analysis, Ultrasound Lubrication analysis and thermography – beneficial

- Experienced with CMMS, MS Excel and other computer skills

- Ability to conduct and report write.

- Strong analytical skills with high level of accuracy and strong work ethics.

- Any PLC experience highly beneficial with Siemens S7
