The basics:

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Shift: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am rotating weekly.

Location: Cheltenham

Industry: Manufacturing

Pay: £43000 per annum + overtime = earnings of £48000 and upwards achievable.

Holidays/benefits: 33 days holiday, workplace pension, life assurance, private health program, occupational sick pay, free parking.

Overview:

Working in a first-class, modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility; we now require a Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role:

To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.

Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

Time served apprenticeship

Experience working within automated manufacturing/production environment or similar - working with heavy plant/automated machinery.

Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Conveyors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics etc.

Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc

Commutable from: Cheltenham, Gloucester and surrounding areas.
