The Basics:

Role: Machine shop manager

Position: Permanent

Location: Derby

Salary: up to £55000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays - After every 5 years' service an extra day holiday up to a max of 4 days. Pension 3% contribution, Free uniform, free onsite parking, modern purpose built manufacturing facilities, large growing business.

Overview:

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a Machine shop manager to join the business.

Working closely with the Operations Manager you will be tasked to monitor performance and drive productivity of the department. Implementing KPI's and attending production meetings.

The ideal candidate / Machine shop manager may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Time served engineering apprenticeship
  • Must have previous experience in a machining and/or fabrication environment.
  • A strong communicator with excellent people management skills
  • Previous experience leading a team and attending production performance meetings

Commutable from: Derby, Burton upon Trent, Nottingham, Alfreton and surrounding areas.
