Are you an ambitious Service Engineer that is looking to step up into a Service Manager's position ?

Nicholas Associates Engineering & Technical are once again recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client who are looking to speak with ambitious Engineers who are looking for actual development opportunities to join a committed and dedicated team of engineers in their purpose built factory in the outskirts of Sheffield.

The Company

Our client is a global manufacturer that produces a range of bespoke electro-mechanical capital equipment and prides itself on its global reputation for quality & performance.

Territory

70% of the time you will be workshop based, however you will be responsible for managing your own workload and balance your time between the Workshop / Office or working from home and Customers sites customers can be anywhere in the UK & Ireland.

The Role:

  • Integral part of the brands Service department, you will be solely responsible for carrying out Service and Repair work on customers equipment, as well as developing reports and customer quotations including collation of material and labour costs.
  • Liaising with customers on site - Occasionally travel outside of the UK may be necessary.
  • Identification of parts, usage recording and stock management.
  • 70% of the work is repair work that will be carried out within the workshop.
  • oFault finding & diagnostics.
  • oElectrical wiring, Pneumatics/hydraulics and Calibration.
  • oTest (final inspection/function testing of repaired products).

Key Skills:

  • Experience of fitting, repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment
  • Ideally you will be a time-served engineer with qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Able to read and engineering and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, CRM, ERP and proprietary software systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • You must be a self-starter and be able to work with little direction. You are responsible for planning your own workload and time.
  • Full UK Driving Licence & Passport
